Ellen has an extensive background in the arts, specializing in ceramics, sculpture, and mosaic. She has been exploring the Italian method of mosaic using smalti glass and other materials in various jewelry forms. In addition, she has created several lines of mezzuzot using these and other materials. Currently she is returning to ceramics (her first love)! Her training includes an MFA from Claremont Graduate University, workshops with mosaic masters, and a natural curiosity!

Ellen has taught art for many years to children and adults.
